Eímear Noone’s Video Game Concert Journey: 2024 - 2025
Hi there! I'm Eimear Noone, and I'm excited to tell you about my adventures conducting video game music concerts in 2024 and 2025. It's been an amazing experience bringing the music from your favorite games to life with full orchestras. Let me take you through some of the coolest moments!
Key Highlights of 2024-2025 Video Game Concerts
- World tour with concerts in famous venues like Royal Albert Hall in London
- New musical arrangements mixing classical and video game styles
- Concerts with big screens showing game scenes along with the music
- More people than ever coming to watch video game music concerts
- Started a new concert series called Gamesymphonic in 2025
As a conductor who loves video game music, I've had the chance to see how much people enjoy hearing these songs played by big orchestras. In the last two years, we've done some really cool things with video game concerts.
In 2024, we went on a big world tour. We played in famous concert halls all over the place. One of the best moments was when we performed at the Royal Albert Hall in London. It's a huge, beautiful place, and it was packed with people who love video game music. We played music from games like The Legend of Zelda and Final Fantasy, and the crowd went wild!
We tried some new things with the music too. We mixed classical orchestra sounds with the tunes everyone knows from their favorite games. For example, we did a special version of the Zelda music that used some Irish instruments. It was really fun to see how surprised and happy people were when they heard it.
In 2025, we made our concerts even more exciting. We added big screens that showed scenes from the games while we played the music. It felt like the game was coming to life right there in the concert hall!
"I've played games for 20 years, but hearing the Halo theme with a real orchestra gave me goosebumps. It was like playing the game again, but in a whole new way that made me feel so many emotions."
One of the coolest things we did in 2025 was start a new kind of concert called Gamesymphonic. In these shows, we explain how video game music works - like how it changes when you do different things in the game. We show this live on stage, which is pretty awesome. People who love games and people who love classical music both really enjoy these concerts.
"As a student learning to write music, Gamesymphonic was eye-opening. Seeing how game music changes based on what players do in the game made me think about music in totally new ways."
Looking back at the last two years, I feel really happy and grateful. We've had so many people come to our concerts, and they've loved the music. It's amazing to see how video game music is becoming more and more popular in concert halls.
I'm excited to keep exploring new ways to bring video game music to life in concerts. The enthusiasm of our audiences, the creativity of the people who write game music, and the talent of our musicians all come together to create really special moments. Here's to many more years of celebrating the awesome art of video game music!
